How to be a Civilian

This last week I spent my time in Transition Assistance Program Class.
This class is to teach me how to reintegrate back into civlian life. It also teaches you that one last thing you were holding onto that your recriter said was a lie.
Now of course within your first year in the Navy that most of what the recruiter told you was B.S. However, the one jem I have always help onto was when I was told, It's easier to get a job with military experience behind you.
Now in this class this week I was told that there is a major belief with employers that military isn't a good hire. We are thought of as lazy and we can be rigid and untrainable.
I am many things but I am not lazy nor do I think I am so old as I can not learn some new tricks at this point.
Also we learned how to make a resume and cover letter.
Let me say right now I hate cover letters. However, this is the way the business world is going.
Also I learned about VA benifets and the Hell I am going to have to go through to get them.
So I end this week wiser and yet a little more disenchanted about life.
So...I continue to look for a J-O-B.
