Apt shopping Online

You may or may nor know that I am moving to Boston in January. yup ole Rob K is on the move again anf he is headed to Bean Town. Now like any good American I am looking for apartments when I should be working at my desk from time to time.
In doing this I am finding a very unique pattern. The first is that most of the photos that are posted are horribly blurry. I hope these websites did not pay someone to take these pics. Another thing is that some of the places are TRASHED. You would think someone would the damn sense to clean the pace up a bit before taking pics to entice someone to want to move in there.
Now here is the most puzzling to me. Most apartments feature pics of the commodes. God as my witness, it's like if anything else they got a bathroom pic and one of the toilet. Where I spend a bit of time. like everyone does, in the bathroom everyday it is not the first thing I look at when I am checking out a place.
I guess Bostonians are picky about their privy. Who knows?
Anyway, Boston awaits...I hope I can find a place that is in focus and has a decent commode...dare I dream!
By the way(and Sara back me up) I was happy my first apt in Hawaii had a bathroom as I was daisy chaining surge suppressors so I could plug in the TV, VCR and computer...the bathroom was dismally small and the living room doubled as a bed room depending what mode the sofabed was in...good times though some of the happiest of my life. No A/C two room(three if you count the bathroom) and it was only $500 a month. It did have a door knob that people fancied though.

the Funnies

the Funnies Category: Life
This morning I did something I havent done in a while, I sat down with the Sunday Funnies.
Where some people just maybe read Garfiled, or maybe pazooze past Blondie I am a comic reader.
Growing up I always pictured myself right alongside Opus, Hodge Podge and Cutter John as they rolled down the hills looking for the Planet of Loose Airline Stewardess; I considered myself a firend of the family in For Better or Worse; I was a member of Shoe's editorial staff and I damn sure liked Funky Winkerbean's high school more than mine.
Yes in many ways these were friends of mine.
I always looked at comics like Garfield and the Lockhorns as just funny one liners and they gave me a chuckle. However the strips named above were true stories, they had an ongoing dialog.
Now elle is getting married in For Better or Worse and Funky is my age and owns a couple of Pizza Parlors. Opus now has his own strip, Cutter John isnt there alot but he does show up.
Anyway, today I found a sunday Funneis from the Chicago Tribune sitting in one of our offices. I sat down and enjoyed catching up with old friends. I hadent been in touch with some of them for a while.
It was good to catch up!
